Council Liaision:

The International Partnership Ministry Action Team is not a committee composed of nominated recruits who serve a term of duty. International Partnership is a team of people who have a special interest in multi-cultural faith development and service projects. If you share this interest, here is information for you.

International Partnership welcomes new teammates. You can participate for as long as you feel this is what God is calling you to do with your gifts and desires.

The opportunities that you can have as a team member include:

Planning the ministry of International Partnerships –

"To live Christ's vision: One faith without borders."

Fostering multi-cultural relationships through prayer and hospitality

Assisting with clean water projects in our sister Presbytery of Occidente in

          Guatemala.

There are three aspects of these projects –

installation of equipment; hygiene education; leadership training.

Training at Clean Water University  (Team may be able to pay up to $1200)

Participating in other delegations to Occidente  (Team pays for flights)

Shaping outreach to Hispanic community within Minnesota Valleys Presbytery’s boundaries.

Expectations of Team members include:

Contributing your participation in planning and/or doing the above opportunities

Those who participate in delegations to Occidente are expected to:

Share their experiences with the Minnesota Valleys Presbytery

Serve on the Team for at least one year after visit

Pay for expenses beyond flight and room and board provided by hosts

Be physically capable to travel and to play a role in projects

Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required

Those who participate in a clean water project are also expected to:

                   Pay for their flight ($600-1000)
