Actions Taken:
Meeting of the Partners in Faith, Life and Witness was held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys Office in Willmar starting at 10 a.m.

Following individual introductions of committee members, Kathy Knips led with a time of worship and prayer with the story of Zaccaus, and healing with difficult people.

Margaret Martenson was elected to acting secretary pro tem.

Budget review for Budget & Finance Committee: 2007 & 2008, It was agreed to stay the same as 2006.

Correspondence and requests from other committees, council and Sue Coller:
Congregational, Growth and Development: 1) Small Church Gathering at Russell, MN on May 4 at 7 p.m. 2) Possiblity of a presbytery wide 2 day workshop event. Karen will work with this and be contact person.
Council: suggests we keep communication lines open between Council and Partners in Faith, Life and Witness.

Rev. Dan Billings reported that the Sudanese have a paid staff person. They have been given a van to transport children and families to church events.

Rev. Sue Coller, Executive Presbyter, 1) Communication-Triennial session visits by all committees. Partners in Faith, Life and Witness felt it is more adviseable to activate Cluster meetings. 2) Web scholarship application form needs to be reviewed and revised. Partners in Faith, Life & Witness suggests revision to be more user friendly.

Motion made, seconded and passed to accept camp scholarship requests.

Motion made, seconded and passed to accept synod school scholarship requests.

Synod School: $1,000 in mission budget is available for Synod School scholarships on a first come, first served basis.

Motion made, seconded and passed: 1) grant each $100 scholarship up to $1,000. 2) Grant each $100 scholarship who has applied thus far be paid $100 in scholarship.

Sub Committee assignments: C.E. - Karen, Judy, Laura, Kathy & Pat. Mission - Mark, Dan Billings & Karen. Stewardship - Margaret, Bob and Dan Smith. Evangelism - Mark and Dan Smith.

C.E. Materials: 1) SPLASH: Cradle roll curriculum - Ages 1, 2, 3. Akaloo+ discipleship program - All ages. 2) Award Camperships: $50 per camper, limit $250 per church. 3) Motion made, seconded and passed to reimburse Lisa Tenter $298.00 for lodging at APCE meeting.

Triennium: Laura will be contact person and work with C.E. committee on registration. Further discussion on Triennium at August meeting.

Stewardship Discussion: Ideas for committee. What is a fair reponse to the Lord, based on our income? Budgets set limits on giving.

Robert Raedeke and Deb Klaassen will work on Evangelism programs.

Kathy Knips is working Mission statement on flyer. Flyer: "Coming Together In Jesus Christ".

Next Meeting: August 3, 2006 at 10:a.m. at the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys Office in Willmar.
