Actions Taken:
Meeting opened with prayer by Deb Klaassen.
Minutes of April 20 meeting accepted.
MOVED, SECONDED AND CARRIED to accept budget report.
Sue Coller mentioned that the budget committee recommended that Partners in Faith, Life & Witness budget would be reduced by $2,000.
Sue Coller requested that two representatives from Partners in Faith, Life and Witness work with Congregational, Growth and Development committee to plan a presbytery wide 1 or 2 day event with workshops, speakers, etc. in 2007. Karen Ferkinhoff and Judy Kovacs will be our representatives. Give ideas for workshops, speakers, etc. to these two people.
Margaret Martenson reported on Synod School. "It was absolutely awesome!. Every class was beyond my expectations, and air-conditioned facilities made for a very pleasant week. It was fun to see many families participating."
MOVED, SECONDED AND CARRIED to send out Evangelism packets to each congregation. Send with "Reformation Sunday" packet.
Deb Klaassen will present the prayer for Peacemaking Offering at the Sept. 16 Presbytery Meeting in Ashby, MN.
MOVED, SECONDED AND CARRIED persons needing scholarship funding for APCE convention need to apply by November 1, 2006. Partners in Faith, Life and Witness will offer 2, $1000 Scholarships. This committee will make the decision if more then two apply. Decision will be made at Nov. 9 meeting.
Some discussion concerning the name of our committee. Need change of name? Something to consider.
Sue Coller requested this committee, in pairs, meet with sessions of each church in the presbytery for a friendly 15 minute visit once every three years.
Next meeting: November 9. Rev. Mark Chamberlain will lead devotions.
