Mark Chamberlain and Dan Smith, Jr. Meeting opened with prayer by Deb
Klaassen Reb. Robert Raedeke gave devotions Rev. Norma Spurgin spoke to us about the mission
challenge we face at the PCUSA level and about a mission
worker who is coming to our Presbytery in October 2008.
Watch for updates. Minutes of April meeting accepted. Reviewed Budget, accepted. Discussed trip to New Orleans, Voluntary Village,
January 19-25, 2008. Planning for 30 people to go. More
information at next meeting. Deb Klaassen attended two chairman meetings with
the council; topics Dreams and Frustrations,
Identify. Rev. Christina Berry is appointed as second Point
Person. Triennium in July at Purdue University was very
successful. 34 people went. 29 were youth. They put
school bags together. Laura Kohler and Mindy VandeBrake
will speak on trip at September Presbytery
Meeting. Camp Scholarships issued to Ellsworht(2); St.
Cloud(2); Luverne(4); Blue Earth(1); Reading(5);
Willmar(5); Amboy(5); Marshall(2); Randall(5) Silver
Lake(5); Spicer(4); Worthington(5); Pipestone(1); Total
$2400.00 Synod School Scholarships: Dan Smith, Mark
Chapman, Amanda Miller, Samamtha Chapman; Total
$400.00 Scholarships for APCe from Gene and Judy Kovacs,
Rev. Christina Berry, Karen Ferkinhoff. November meeting
item. Evangelism, Mission, Rreformation and Stewardship
packets reviewed. Ready to be sent out to churches.
Pentecost Offering($2274.42) will be distributed as "The
Connection" at Canby-$1000; Presbyterian Clearwater
Camp-$774.42 and Hope Presbyterian Church of Spicer $500
for Kids Entertainment. Peace Offering at Presbytery Theme is "And the
leaves of the trees are for the healing of the
nations." Closing Prayer by Karen Ferkinhoff.
