Actions Taken:
Meeting was called to order by Rev. Dan Billings, chair at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2005.
Rev. Dan Billings had devotions based on John 3:14-17.
Agenda: Discussion concerning a request for scholarship money (camp or Synod School?), that was not granted. Committee felt that this committee's chair; or official, should write a letter to Rev. Ruby Kleymann stating that: #1 Scholarship money cannot be granted without a completed registration form and #2 the scholarship fund was exhausted.
Budget: Is okay! We are spending money within set limits. Rev. Dawn Carder will lead worship service at the presbytery meeting in September at Mankato. Daniel Joseph had not given Rev. Dan Billings a positive reply in regard to leading presbytery meeting.
Christian Education: This committee will sponsor a Christian Ed Workshop on November 12, 2005 at the presbytery office in Willmar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Martha Miller from Louisville, KY as the presenter. The morning session topic is "Will Our Families Have Faith" and in the afternoon there will be two short session: "Intergenerational Activities" and" Prayer Practices".
Mission: Churches sending individuals out on mission trips should report on them. Synod School: Everyone thought it was an A+ experience. Judy Kovacs will write a report for Valley Bridge about Synod School. Dan approached Diana Barber about moving Global Village into Synod School. Mission Partnership may have Global Village input. In Synod School discussion it was suggested that the chairperson of Partners in Faith, Life and Witness that the multi-cultural element be implemented "stronger" in Synod School curriculum.
Sudanese Partnership: Daniel Joseph was ordained on August 8, 2005. Sudanese fellowship now meets three times a month rather than twice.
September Presbytery Meeting: Additonal displays (other than 6/16 mtg): First Pres. Church of St. Cloud; Westminster Presbyterian Church of Worthington; First Presbyterian Church of Redwood Falls and Helping Hands. We need 15 display areas. Judy Kovacs is contact person. Displays are to be up by 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
Evangelism: Evangelism Sunday is September 25, 2005.
Goals & Objectives Plannin - Review tract-to make goals and objectives happen:

Theological Fund: Rev. Dan Billings orderd "info" from Dubuque Seminary for churches to take from September 17, 2005 Presbytery Meeting.
